6th Draft- Lego

This is a very basic animation experiment but I wanted to have the experience of working with inanimate objects. This way I have complete control over the subject and content of my video. I chose Lego as the subject as it wouldn't move by itself and it would be very easy to create the movement between photographs as I would only have to add one Lego brick at a time so the stages were planned already.
I chose to use a Lego kit that made a particular object as opposed to creating something freeform as it required less planning and less things could go wrong. I also knew that the end project would be of a dinosaur, so I'd be able to make it move around and animate it to give the video an interesting ending.
The only issue I encountered was at the beginning, the camera moves around for a second or two. This is because the camera would not focus on the Lego bricks as there were only a few of them and they weren't high enough up to meet the cameras lens. I tried to fix this by moving the camera then putting it back in the same position but it didn't turn out as accurately as I'd hoped. I feel this is the only mistake.
To create this video, I built the Lego model then photographed it being disassembled. I did this as I wanted it to appear as though the model was being built from the ground up, which would not have been possible if I'd done it in the correct order as the object was built in stages then joined together. I then edited the images on Final Cut Pro and reversed them all, so that the 200 images played in the desired order.
I'm pleased with the outcome of the video as it mainly went to plan and I got the experience I needed. As the animation went as planned, I created the final on my first attempt and so I didn't feel the need to alter the frame rate or add any effects to improve upon it.

As none of my drafts have had any diegetic sounds, it is not something I have focused on. For my main piece I will pay careful consideration to whether or not it needs in scene sounds or if I can add a backing track throughout the animation.
